Test without shutting down primary?

Ok I have issued set config MailClusterFailover=1 on console and received following info.

Router: notes.ini setting for MailClusterFailover being used (note - this option may now be configured in a Server Configuration document)

This is the peak time and all users are busy in mail sending/receiving.
Is there any method I can test secondary server without shutting down primary server? I want to test without disturbing any user on primary.
